PolyCello named one of Canada’s 50 Best Managed Companies

A Nova Scotia company has been named as one of Canada’s 50 Best Managed Companies for 2008.

PolyCello, a leader in high quality flexible packaging products, is the newest Nova Scotia-based company to win the prestigious award, which recognizes Canadian companies that have implemented world-class business practices and created value in innovative ways.

“The award is recognition of our competitive advantage—the talent, commitment and dependability of our people,” said Stephen Emmerson, president and CEO, PolyCello. “To be recognized as one of Canada’s Best Managed is a significant honour and one in which we are extremely proud.”

PolyCello’s packaging can be found presenting and preserving food and paper products in almost every North American household. In recent years, the company has developed more environmentally-conscious products, including compostable and biodegradable packaging.

“Now, packaging is not just a potential marketing tool—in some cases, consumers are looking at packaging as potential waste,” said Emmerson. “By producing greener packaging, we’re helping our clients address this growing concern.”
